THE CHALLENGE
Hurley, a surfing brand, traces back to the surf scene in Southern California in the late 1970's when Bob Hurley in Costa Mesa, California created Hurley Surfboards in 1979. In 2015, Nike purchased the Hurley brand and merged it into the Nike website. I felt the new Hurley product page seemed cold and was missing the ability for fans to engage in surfing culture. My goal was to create a site that had a feeling of excitement, added color, and better expressed the Hurley brand. It includes the brand's history, a cultural section with videos, articles, and tutorials.
